Hello,

I try to integrate draw.io pictures inside a google doc. I do "Add-ons" -> draw.io -> insert diagram. But the resulting diagram looks a bit blurry. It looks like draw.io generate a low resolution picture and google doc stretches it to fill the document space.  How can i get crisp clear pictures in google docs? I'd like to avoid having to manually generate high resolution png export of each diagram if possible :)

Thanks.

Is the diagram fairly small?

It seems unrelated to the size of the diagram. See attached picture. Left side is google doc integration, right side is draw.io editor.

Are you using a retina screen to view? If you export from draw.io via File->Export As->Advanced is the PNG the same resolution?

Yes, it's on a HiDpi screen.
Exported pngs have half the size. How can i increase this value?

Also, it also looks pixelated when printing from google docs, the picture resolution is not enough.

Hello. I have (now had) the same issue.

There is a solution, but it is very weird:
1) Go to draw.io as usually to edit your diagram
2) Go to menu: View --> Page scale
3) Change the sacele to much higher than 100% ( for my 15.6 inches, 4K screen I had to use 400%)
4) Now make everything as usual but make everything significantly bigger (scale up your diagram, edit font size, line thickness, etc.)
5) Return to your Google Docs and update the diagram in document (select your diagram , than go to Menu: Add-ons -> Draw.io Diagrams -> Update Selected)

After that it will be clear and sharp in your Google Docs. (You can compare the attached screenshots to see the difference).

I agree it is weird approach, but it helped me. Hope somebody could find the better way.

New release adds Retina option in Google Docs Add-on for hi-res images. Convert existing diagrams using https://i.gyazo.com/532400a30d5b16f9f28e928702d14b33.gif then click Add-ons, Draw.io Diagrams, Update Selected/All.

Had the same issue.. drove us flipping mad.... You can print straight from draw.io with nice resolution but when you save it to google drive and/or import it (supposedly in high resolution) it looks blurry.. The simple solution was to save the diagram out of draw.io onto your computer (as a PNG ) and then re-import into google docs by uploading from the computer... Go figure !

Did you try to do this today? If yes, what is the size of the diagram (width, height in pixels)?
