Hello!

I have a giant document using this application, it is becoming more laggy the more images and items I add to it.

Is there any way I could like allocate more resources to the application so it can function better? For example like adobe lightroom hogs all my memory.

The diagram is a giant lens chart for cameras.

Thank you :)

Your best option is to host large images online and reference them by URL. This will make the diagram file smaller and the app more responsive.

When I insert/reference them by URL, do the images still embed into the diagram?
Thank you for the quick response :)

Out of curiosity, how large in pixel dimensions are those images you're inserting?

Based on the behaviour, this sounds like those are full-sized images that could stand to be scaled down to thumbnail sizes, which would improve the resource usage and performance...

You could then link the thumbnail images to full size images which would then only load on demand in a browser or image viewing application.

"Embed" may be the wrong word, but they will still be visible as long as the image at the given URL remains visible.

Clarjon1 has given me advice of downscaling the images before uploading them to the application, I will try that instead and see if it helps the software better :)

Thanks for the replies :)
