Install firmware from CPL03-CB on SN50v3-CB

Hello, 

is it possible to install the firmware of CPL03-CB on SN50v3-CB to use the COUNTMOD = 1 function to reset the counter after each uplink?

We use CFGMOD=6 on our SN50v3 and need the counter to reset after each uplink.

As this setting is not included in the SN50v3, could we install the firmware from CPL03 which has that setting?

Is it also possible to reset the counter for each CLOCKLOG or do they still increment and only reset after the data is sent?

Thank you for your inquiry.

1. Regarding COUNTMOD=1 (reset counter after uplink):

The SN50v3-CB does not natively support COUNTMOD=1 in its firmware.

However, you can manually reset the counter using the AT+EXT command.

2. Firmware Compatibility:

Yes, you can flash the CPL03-CB firmware onto the SN50v3-CB, as both devices share the same hardware (mainboard + BG95 module). 

After flashing, the device will operate as a CPL03-CB model.

3. Note for CPL03-CB’s AT+COUNTMOD=1:

The counter will not reset during AT+CLOCKLOG sampling events. 

For CPL03-CB devices with AT+COUNTMOD=1 configuration, the counter only resets after automatic data uplink triggered by TDC expiration (default TDC interval: 2 hours)
