On 13 MAY we will be welcoming Tracy Villanueva from Thurston County Specialized Recreation to speak to us about the many programs available to our families. Marsha Longmeir will also be present to discuss Project Safer.  We will also plan on playing bingo with prizes and refreshments will be served. See attached flyer for full information. I dont know how but your meeting and fun things always fall on Thurston county parks event. 5th 13th is movies.. I s there a way you can coordinate calendars.  I really want to attend some of these events.

Hi Donna,

You and others have expressed the same sentiments.  Let me take a moment to respond.  There are two issues that make deconflicting activities difficult to accomplish.  First, while I am well aware of the calendars of other IDD support groups (I especially follow South Sound Parent to Parent, Thurston County Inclusion, and Thurston County Specialized Recreation), if you look at their extensive offerings, it covers most nights of the week days and sometimes weekends.  Additionally, we need a meeting space that will commit to us for a year at a time with a specific night of the week so our clients and guest speakers can plan in advance.  I could only find one venue that could do that for us.  We have spoken with Tracey in Thurston County Specialized Recreation, as they are the ones that primarily conflict with our sessions, and she is looking at how she might adjust.
