dotCMS 4.2 Now Available

We are pleased to announce that dotCMS 4.2 is now available for download: https://dotcms.com/download/

This latest release highlights a new dotCMS capability: Layout as a Service (LaaS). It allows business users to make meaningful content, module, and layout decisions within a friendly authoring environment, all of which can then be accessed via RESTful APIs.

Besides LaaS, dotCMS 4.2 also includes new features, like Vanity URLs and Language Variables now available as content - simplifying the manageability of website SEO as well as multilingual sites. dotCMS users will also notice a significant improvement the performance of publishing, including our push publishing feature. Furthermore, dotCMS can now be run completely stateless, as an auto scaling group that leverages externalized Elasticsearch and datagrid type caches has been upgraded.

Other changes to note in dotCMS 4.2 include IE11 improvements and fixes, Windows Touch Screen support fixed, Hazelcast library upgrade, and some security fixes.
