Log Fail to Create on dotCMS 22.03.1. Invalid File Path #22448

Fail to create log file on dotCMS 22.03.1 and JAVA 11

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Extract the dotcms_22.03.1.zip, downloaded from official website
2. Go to META-INF/context.xml add MSSQL configuration
3. Elasticsearch startup
4. Swap the log4j.xml at WEB-INF/log4j
5. startup.bat on dotserver/tomcat-9.0.41/bin (Not sure why dotcms/bin/startup.bat is not working, it shows "Could not create the Java virtual machine" and the command prompt closes in a very fast speed. I capture the error with video and slow speed to read it)

Fixed by temporary hardcode the  -DDOTCMS_LOGGING_HOME:

%_EXECJAVA% %CATALINA_LOGGING_CONFIG% %LOGGING_MANAGER% %JAVA_OPTS% %CATALINA_OPTS% %DEBUG_OPTS% -DDOTCMS_LOGGING_HOME="D:\Java\dotcms_22\dotserver\tomcat-9.0.41\webapps\ROOT\dotsecure\logs" -D%ENDORSED_PROP%="%JAVA_ENDORSED_DIRS%" -classpath "%CLASSPATH%" -D -Dcatalina.base="%CATALINA_BASE%" -Dcatalina.home="%CATALINA_HOME%" -Djava.io.tmpdir="%CATALINA_TMPDIR%" %MAINCLASS% %CMD_LINE_ARGS% %ACTION%

Any better option to do this?

Fwiw, the binary .zip based install is at this point considered depreciated and we expect customers to run dotCMS in the provided docker containers.  I would suggest trying that - it is pretty easy to wire it up with environmental variables.
