Do you plan to release the C1 with a tag also on Github ? I'm used to grab versions from there...

 The removal of django.contrib.markup is noted in the deprecation plans but the release notes should probably mention that it's now been completely removed.

We don't typically repeat the list of deprecated features that were removed. The release notes contains this sentence: We’ve also dropped some features, which are detailed in our deprecation plan." You can look under the "1.6" section of that page for all the features that were removed in this release.
