How to protect a REST API view with token authentication using django-rest-framework-social-oauth2?

I have installed and setup the django-rest-framework-social-oauth2 package.  Now I need to protect my REST API views with the appropriate token authentication.  Do I follow the method at:

http://www.django-rest-framework.org/api-guide/authentication/#tokenauthentication or is another method appropriate?

Thats about the most appropriate way to do it, just make sure its over https.
