How can i keep test data in django testing

I am using django 1.8 and it says to use --keepdb to save test database https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.8/topics/testing/overview/#the-test-database I am doing that and database is there but everytime i see it and it is empty and has no data in it. Is there any way that i can preserve that so that i can see whats in there
