how to request a feature

I found an app called redirects that gives me a way to create redirects via the admin UI.

It works great, but I noticed that it doesn't support passing along the URL parameters to the new redirect target. It seems that this would be a good idea.

I found that someone posted a snippet of code that adds this.

Where might I go to request that this get added as a feature to the shipping django?

Is this something people would use, or would they do redirects at a more low-level inside of views or something -- this post about that style seems way more popular.
