I'm new in Django and would like to know how I can visualize poll result by a histogram

If the histogram is something you'd like to be viewable in a browser, check out D3: http://d3js.org/
If you don't need a browser, then matplotlib could serve your needs: http://matplotlib.org/

matplotlib is without any doubt the best library,  you can easily integrate in django
