Deleting models from django without affecting migrations

Hi, i want to delete few models which are redundant from few django apps.
The  main issue is that the codebase is quite big and in the future if we have to migrate again from the beginning, it might throw errors for sure. Any efficient/best way to handle this?
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
