API project example

Hi guys, I'm developing an idea, but the funny things is that I'm learning Django at the same time. Do you guys know of any SIMPLE project that requests data from an api and displays it on the font end (html)? 

I'm working with themoviedb using https://github.com/celiao/tmdbsimple. I got the shell as the example there but how do I do it on the html so it can be displayed? 

If you know of any project please let me know so I can learn by seeing it.
