Hello,

What is the status of Django-nonrel, it seems that there have been a few changes recently on github, but not much overall news, especially on their website?

If i try to use Django 1.5 (GAE's latest version) are there any good tutorials / blogs on how to get it working with NDB other than on the Google developers site?

I have found:

GAE Cupboard .. it seems to have stopped updating

Udemy, which has a course that does nto seem to include Django

    This is a great one:

http://rem4me.me/2013/06/writing-your-first-django-web-app-with-google-app/ sadly, there does not seem to be a part 2.

Any other hints would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Adam

The honest answer is "no idea".

The original driving force behind django-nonrel stepped away from the project in 2011; at that time, he handed the project off to someone else:

I can't say I've heard a lot of buzz about the project recently. You'll need to make your own assessments as to whether it works, or how vibrant the community is.

We've got a Google Summer of Code student currently working on a project that is in a similar area; however, that work is still underway, so I can't point you at anything usable at the moment.

Thanks Russ. I don't mean to answer my own question, but this is what I found to date:

There is a website: http://django-nonrel.org I found that seems to be pretty recent even though for some reason it has a copyright of 2011

There's also an installation guide at: https://media.readthedocs.org/pdf/djangoappengine/latest/djangoappengine.pdf that has a date of May 19, 2014, pretty recent.

If anyone has any more thoughts I would appreciate it,

Adam
