Is anyone using the Djangae 2.0 / GCloud Connector in production?

Just wondering if anyone is using the Djangae 2.0 / GCloud Connector in production, and how their experience is so far?

Regardless, I'm kind of stuck right now on 1.0 because I have a legacy pre-Firestore datastore instance. Has anyone been migrated yet to Firestore, or heard what Google's timeframe is on that? Google was saying it's supposed to seamlessly transition, yet they've been warning about it for 1-2 years already but still haven't migrated. Perhaps they're having difficulty with the migration?

Hi Jacob,

So AFAIK no-one is using Djangae 2.0 / GCloud Connector in production *yet*. I know that there are projects in the process of upgrading though. And the connector should be relatively stable as it's essentially a clean-up and strip-back of the one in Djangae 1.x.

As for the migration, I have no idea. It would be really helpful to us at Potato if we had a timeline for this also. If I hear anything I'll post back on this thread.

Thanks for the reply. I opened a GCP Support ticket to ask about migration timeframe, and this was their reply:

As for now, there is no exact date, but is currently slated to happen in late 2020 - early 2021. you will be notified prior to the migration, we are planning to send an email detailing when your migration will happen as well as information you'll need to know about this process to better prepare you and give you some time for planning.
