if the sodium sulfide pre-deanimation injection is now in human trials
as per Mark Roth:

http://www.ted.com/talks/mark_roth_suspended_animation.html

and he is selling the shot via his company Ikaria:
http://www.drugs.com/clinical_trials/ikaria-completes-dosing-phase-1a-clinical-study-ik-1001-sodium-sulfide-4322.html

this should be part of every cryopreservation protocol out there, and
our own personal first aid kits (who wants to produce a transhumanist
first aid kit, we would have lots of demand in the coming decade).
The idea is simple, shut off the body's desire to keep its temperature
high and THEN begin the cooling stage. The injection would be
administered at the first sign of serious trauma, someone puts you in
a bathtub with cold water, you have hours of healthy deanimation while
you wait for full cryo or emergency medical treatment to get back on
your feet.

cheers,
tudor

100'000$ for the first one to show he can freeze a brain and recover memories from it....

I wonder, what if you take the anti-freeze protein from frogs (which prevents water inside their cells to form crystals which would destroy the cell) and put it into mice. The transgenic mize wil be able to be frozen and brought to life again?
Then you can see if they remember some conditioned memory. (like if a bell rings it has to press a buttom to get some cheese :D )
