Thanks for the advice, I'm from the UK about 40 miles away from London, so there isn't a local open lab in the area (not that I know of) although I have heard of a hack-space in London that I want to check out. I was planning on working with bacteria so giving bacteria bioluminescent properties is cool.

You're getting some vignetting in the corners.

Hi Joe,
Unfortunately, it's not legal to do that without a licensed lab, and the
fine people of London Hackerspace don't yet have a license as far as I
know.. perhaps one of them will chime in.

As you're a European, you may also wish to join the diybio.eu mailing
list- I tried to dig up the join-address, because the website is down
right now, but couldn't find it. Perhaps my compatriots on that list
recall which address to send an email to to join?

There's also a London Biohackers mailing list which I'm not a member of,
so I cannot join. Perhaps they're on the diybio.eu list and will pitch
in, too. :)

Btw, if you want to enhance your theoretical knowledge, I composed a beginners guide to genetic engineering.

if you open the word document it will be much better readable than the html version. I gotta convert it to pdf soon :)

Would love to hear your feedback! ;)
