Very beginner question I know:

What is the name of the autoinducer/signal compound species specific to vibrio phosphoreum in quorum sensing? As in N-(3-oxohexanoyl) homoserine lactone activates the luminescence gene in v. fischeri and N-(3-hydroxybutyryl)-homoserine lactone for v. harveyi

Thanks :)

Despite glaring differences in growth conditions, as far as bioluminescence phosphoreum and Fischeri are the same.

However, phosphoreum doesn't rely much on quorum sensing, not nearly as much as fischeri.
