Chromoproteins

Hi all,

I have a few questions about chromoprotein application and availability.  I am referring to coral protein variants that confer different colors under visible wavelengths without the need for filters etc., unlike their fluorescent proteins that need specific wavelengths for excitation and detecting emission.

These are my questions for the community:

1. From where can procure chromoprotein expression vectors for use in plants?
   
2. From where can procure chromoprotein expression vectors for use in insects?
   
3. From BioBricks or elsewhere?
   
4. Since these are from coral, would expressing these variants require anything more than codon optimization and using suitable promoter and terminator in the expression cassette?
