If you search the diybio Google group for Pittsburgh, you'll find some other interested folks' emails.
As far as labs, hackPgh is the only thing that comes close, though there is also a mushroom foraging group in pgh too, I doubt they have a public lab (or they consider nature to be their lab).
Hi people,
I am a graduate student at Duquesne University pursuing my MS in Biotechnology. Duquesne University is planning to establish a Community Outreach Biolab (Sandbox) in the near future and our team, led by a faculty member, is striving towards achieving this goal. We hope to encourage and promote Biology, Biotechnology, Bio medicine etc. at this outreach lab.
We were hoping to get in touch with already established community outreach labs, biohacker labs or any other groups which might be able to help us further understand the lab structures, processes etc.
Does anyone know of any such labs or groups?
