Hi!

I've been asked a few times about the major achievements coming from the DIYbio movement. It's mostly people from funding agencies or governments that are asking about this. Ideally, we could compile a hall of fame listing some great achievements and make it easier for people to understand the impact of DIYbio.

Some examples can include:
  1. Popular and successful art projects (ex: Heather Dewey-Hagborg's work at Genspace)
  2. Commercial value: Startups, Intellectual property, or widely used open source projects that stem from DIYbio
  3. Research publications
  4. Educational initiatives (ie: connecting with high schools/universities/teachers)
  5. Major funding or organizational milestones (ie: years of existence, square footage or things like that)
I've only just started on compiling stuff but it would be great if this has already been done or if people can contribute.

Cheers!

Kevin

Please make it a wiki so we can edit it and see it growing...also keeping in with the sharing of ideas and knowledge.

I agree to making it a wiki page. It seems like the best way to go as everyone here is mostly doing their own thing.
