questions about the schematic design for assembly spectrophotometer

Doubt is in the schematic design for the assembly of a simple spectrophotometer in the visible region, the distance of each component (type: bucket, diffraction grating, webcam, slit size) to get a good picture. 

And what is the best choice of light source, the best webcam, and what better choice for a diffraction grating. 

Urgent college work already tried a few ways unsuccessfully to have to give some help.
