The short story: that's very bad. I haven't worked on Tecans for a couple of years, though, so my memory is a little fuzzy on the exact details. However, I do know for sure that Tecan (the company, not the instrument) does not record or store your admin credentials in any way, so generally speaking, if you are locked out of the Tecan admin account (no matter how that happened), the only solution is a complete reinstall of all software components. Unless you somehow happen to have a 2-week+ old disc image of that computer lying around, your only hope - and it is extremely slim - is that you have admin access to the Service and Setup software package, in which case you *might* be able to reset the password and regain access. I wouldn't stake my hopes on it if I were you, though. If you *do* happen to have that disc image lying around, I would start by restoring that ASAP. If that doesn't work, you will need to call Tecan support and have them guide you through the full reinstallation process.
