I actually found an MSDS for an inkjet cartridge at one point, and verified that the plastic used should *in theory* be able to stand up to autoclaving. No guarantee regarding any warping, or any of the glue coming loose...
We never bothered autoclaving our inkjet cartridge - we just ran bleach through, rinsed liberally, and then sonicated in a jewelry cleaner. But then we were just doing E. coli with the inkjet cartridge, so we weren't overly worried about contamination. I'd say give it a try and let us know!
I would definitely *not* remove the electronics. That part is likely to be fine with autoclaving, and unlikely to survive removal.
