DIYbio in Berlin

Hi,

I would like to ask around, if anybody
is part of or knows somebody who
really is part of the Berlin DIYbio community.

I have tried to contact Lisa Thalheim, as it was
suggested previously, but she's not responding.
Also I was at Raumfahrtagentur where they
meet according to the website (on the first
wednesday of the month), but there was noone there.
I wonder, if the group still exists ...
Anybody with insider information ?

If it's still alive, I still would be happy to
come over and do some experiments!

Also I have loads of equipment (HPLC, spectrophotometers,
CNC milling machine etc...) which I am using
alone right now. I would be happy to share them.

Let's do some science!

Hi Matthias,

replying via the list for the benefit of others who may be wondering what became of the Berliners.

Apologies for not replying to you - I'm still a bit tied up by paid work and bureaucracy.
However, we are not dead, after all, and have in fact started meeting more frequently. We're also just testing whether we're all happier with meetups on the weekends rather than on the first Wednesday of each month - which may explain why you went to the Space Agency in vain.

Anyway, if you're still interested after all this confusion, it might be best if you subscribe to the diybioberlin mailing list - just drop Sascha a mail at kar...@mit.edu, he'll put you on the list (if he hasn't already?)

Useful aside: The list is mostly used for organising meetings, so it doesn't make much sense for non-Berliners to subscribe.
