chorismate to Salicylate

i was looking at this Part:BBa_J45320  

i was wondering this is a good odor signal but will it produce enought salicylate  to be useful in something else

like instead of synthetising methyl salicylate would not it better to just do a liquid culture of e coli that generate methyl salicylate

what kind of concentration could we expect in a liquid culture
