Hey everyone,
Anyone know of a good place in the US to send a plasmid for a quick Sanger sequencing? A place that will accept a sample sent from my residential address?

Are you looking to sequence a DNA amplicon from the plasmid or are you looking to send the plasmid and have the whole thing sequenced?

Just a DNA amplicon, or just the insert of a plasmid. I was thinking GeneWiz, but just wanted to check if there was anything commonly used by other DIYbiologist.

Just a DNA amplicon. And thank you, Dan, I'll check it out!

Laragen has been cheap and convenient. Doubt if you need a business address since they send nothing to you. You download the sequencing results.

Amplicons can be difficult to sequence on new platforms. The massive parallel sequencing isn’t designed to work with populations that have extremely similar sequences.

You may want to see if there is anyone out there providing pyrosequencing services. This method is better / more accurate for determining the sequence of a single gene or amplified product
