Hi everyone.

Lipus seems to work to accellerate bone healing, maybe other tissue healing, tooth gum health and possibly tooth regeneration. Would be fun to play around with it - but the prize!

I cannot see how that thing can be that expensive. My toothbrush has a ultrsonic chip, and if it is in the brush itself, it just costs 5$ to replace.

Any thoughts on this?

There's not ultrasound component in your toothbrush head.

You can get proper ultrasound heads in that frequency range from 10-50 bucks. Dodgy medical kiosks use them for massage and occasionally a form of local anaesthesia.

Try 'Steiner and Martins' for interesting piezo parts.

Er, if you don't know how to drive the transducer, here's a chinese thing you might be able to jury rig into a Lipus device. The same web store also sells 20 dollar violet wands with some odd attachments, in case anyone wants to make a kinky electroporator.
