I wish dealers would stop forgetting to include the real definition. :-(

Since I have to vote to play the game, I'll go with these, although I don't really believe them:

8.            [Can. sl.]  A person of Franco-Scottish ancestry.

12.          The eco-system found on the machair, a habitat occurring on the coasts of some Scottish islands.

I’ll take 8 for the Canadian slang with the odd mixture of Scottish and French, and the eponymous 13 for luck and to reward its author, though I don’t believe it one bit.

Since we're currently planning a touring holiday in the Canadian Maritimes for next summer, I have
to go for 6 and 8, please.

Best wishes,

I'll try 8 and 13:

8. [Can. sl.] A person of Franco-Scottish ancestry.

13. Stirrup block chair: Jack Macquigon was a dwarf and has given his name to a chair which he carried behind him to enable him to mount.

I'll go for 3, since I don't know what it means, and the charming 13:

> 3. A twinned crystal.

Maybe it's because I'm hungry, but I'll go with two of the food-related definitions: #2 and #10. (Granted, a donut hole isn't all that filling.)
