Here are 13 defs for opple-scopple, one of which came from a reputable dictionary.

Against my better judgment, 10 and 11 please.

12 is vaguely credible, and the author of 10 deserves a point for creativity. (I'd like that one even more if the rascals pelted the inhabitants themselves, though - not just their doors!)
