A uvala is definition #9, "a large elongated sinkhole resulting from enlargement and coalescence of a linear group of small sinkholes." This definition is from Merriam-Webster. Other sources offer similar definitions with slightly different phrasing. Four people voted for it, giving me a D4.

The highest score and the next deal were earned by Paul Keating. His Croatian beach got five votes, though one of them was his own and doesn't score a point. (This is reflected as a -1 DP adjustment in the table below.) By coincidence, or perhaps not, "uvala" is also originally a Serbo-Croatian word. Paul also earned two points for voting for #9, for a total of 6. Runner-ups and traditional "winnahs" were Tim Lodge with his Norse funeral and Tim Bourne with his Viking oarlock. Each scored 5 points.

I have Tim Bourne voting for 6 and 12 (2026-02-05 18:11 UTC): so that would give

And that would propel Tim Lodge into top spot with a natural 6.

Thanks, Paul. I'll blame my aging eyes. I have a cataract consultation scheduled for a few weels from now. Until the surgery I use screen magnificatioh, but apparently I didn't use enough with Tim Bourne's email. He did indeed vote for 6 and 12. Tim Lodge should be the next dealer for the reason you  pointed out.

I trust Mike will reflect this correction in the rolling scores nad future statistics.

Thanks,

Efrem

Efrem, players make worse mistakes with not nearly as good an excuse.

I deal often, and it would be a poor show to quietly grab a deal I'm not entitled to, by taking advantage of slip that could go unnoticed.
