The others were proposed by players to be named later. Your task is to vote for two of them - because you think they might be correct, because you want to reward their writers' creativity, or because your random number generator (e.g., =RANDBETWEEN(1,14) in Excel) produced their numbers.

8. A control station for verifying and adjusting the actions of up to two dozen military drones.
9. A spicy noodle dish with vegetables that has been a staple in Japan since early in the Meiji era (1868-1912).
10. In a body of fresh water, that part of the environment composed of a sandy beach and bottom lakeward from the water line.
11. A geometric figure that consists of two parallel lines that form the facing sides of a rectangle [ < Gk drómos ‘race-course, avenue’]
12. A fan made of metal, leather, silk, parchment or feathers, intended to keep away insects from a priest or noble, as well as to show honour.
13. A stone not forming part of a stone circle, but believed to be associated with it, perhaps indicating a bearing of some astronomical feature.
14. A flowering plant in the baobab family, native to Madagascar. Fully mature specimens can assume the form of an American football, balanced on a small base, swelling in the middle to as much as sixteen feet.
