I know I composed a def for SPAILPIN, but it's not in the list, nor is it in any of my sent folders - clearly finger trouble on my part, so no DPs required. I'll vote for 2 and 5.

~Bending under the weight of His mercies~
The words of Zechariah the Prophet, “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on Me, the One they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son."

2 and 3 because (a) they’re Irish, (b) none of the other defs are remotely plausible, and (c) the formatting error in the initial post implies something different with copy and paste and indicates one of them came from a source other than email.

The accented í suggests an original language other than English. That letter can take an acute accent in both Irish Gaelic and Spanish. On that basis it could be 2, maybe 3, maybe 6 - but I only get two votes. 2 and 6 it is, then.
