The biggest word you ever heard and this is how it goes...

(with apologies to the Sherman brothers)

Oh, wrong word, actually it's... SUPELLECTICARIOUS.

We have 13 defs for your consideration. Please vote for 2 by the deadline, which is around 36 hours from now. If everyone who has supplied a def has voted, I may close the voting early.

2.      Of or relating to household furniture.

3.      [Medical] Having joint movement beyond the normal range.

4.      Being in a situation that requires a higher intellect than one has.

5.      _nonce_ (Lear) Of or related to excessive letters or syllables within a word.

6.      A large curtained double bed with down filled pillows and mattress; a four-poster.

7.      (Of a purchase) Appearing more desirable in the store than after bringing it home.

8.      Descriptive of one who believes that the will of the person in power should take precedence over any elected authority.

9.      A nonce word, coined by H.L. Mencken, to describe academics whose "opinions of their works far outweigh their value." (Prejudices, Vol. 6, 1927)

In the round 3535
Ain’t gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie

There are 4 definitions involving household stuff: 2, 11, 12, 13.

And Johnny voted for two of them, and we all know his track record.

But  I dislike 13, so that leaves me with three and I have only two votes.  I vote for 2 and 11.

Totally missed sending in a def - put the deadline on the wrong day in my to-do list! Sorry, Shani.

Still, I get to vote. Sounds like an adjective to me. I'll go for 5 and 9, on the grounds that there should be a word for each of these concepts even if this isn't it.

Definitions 11 and 13 are very similar, but the shortness of 2 appeals to me. I'll vote for 2 and 11:

I feel I'm not as good at this game as I once was, perhaps because I'm 31 years older than when I started - it must be old age creeping up. I'll throw my votes away at 9 and 12.

              9.      A nonce word, coined by H.L. Mencken, to describe academics whose "opinions of their works far outweigh their value." (Prejudices, Vol. 6, 1927)

            12.  Of music: performed with improvised instruments, such as pans, cutlery, water-filled glasses, garden hoses, or household appliances; composed for orchestra in imitation of, or incorporating, such music.

Tim Lodge, I only began playing after I retired 8 years ago. I'm now 70. That's not encouraging, brother! LOL

Just a quick heads up (and thank you Paul for pointing this out), my deadlines were a week out. We still have three players who submitted a def who haven't yet voted, so I'll extend the deadline by 7 hours just in case anyone has put off voting thinking they had more time. So, the deadline will be just under 10 hours from now.

We have 13 defs for your consideration. Please vote for 2 by the deadline, which is around 36 hours from now. If everyone who has supplied a def has voted, I may close the voting early.

I'll take 10 and 13 just in time, I hope.
(But I think your stated deadline is way longer than you intended.)

Uh-oh. That gives me only another year or two. LOL! Then again, my record hasn't been all that great for all the years I've been participating.
