Here we have 12 imaginative defs of the word RANGA, only one of which comes from my dictionary.  Please vote for your two favoutites by public reply to this message before the deadline, which is:

 8.      a poisonous snake native to southeast Asia.

 9.      [_South African_] Indian hemp used as a narcotic.

10.     drone-like accompaniment to the sitar on tabla and tambura.

11.     a form of popular dance music that originated in the black townships of South Africa, characterized by choral singing and prominent basslines played on electronically amplified guitars.

12.     (Print.) Ten and a half quires, or, commonly, 250 sheets, of paper printed on both sides; also, in some cases, the same number of sheets printed on one side, or half the number printed on both sides.

IMO, it could be all...or none! I'll go with these:

As I’m about to enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom to kick off my winter break vacation, I’ll go for the spotted lemur and the poisonous snake. 1 and 8.
