Folks,

I saw this one bouncing back to me and was prepared. Let's see if we can return the deal to Mike as karmic punishment! (Mike, please don't take that as your cue to sit it out.)

The word for round 3107 is:

**************************
MOSSER
**************************

where capitalization has no significance.

Please send your invented definition of MOSSER to emallach at verizon dot net by noon US EDT on Wed., Sept. 23, about 43 hours from now. Don't just Reply to this message without changing your reply's To field, or you'll send your fake to the whole group.

If  you know what MOSSER means, please let me know ASAP the same way. If enough people know it, I'll find another.

According to timeanddate.com, the deadline is:

and other times in other places. You might want to confirm any conversion that affects you. That site's good, but nobody's perfect.

I expect votes to be due 45 hours later: 9 am Friday in the eastern U.S., and so on.

New players are welcome. (So are old ones who've been quiet for a while. Yes, I mean you.) Just send me a definition that you invented without looking up the word. Full rules at  http://www.dixonary.net/game-rules-and-advice/rules.

Happy defining, and stay safe -

Efrem

Folks,

With an hour and a half to go until the definition deadline I have nine definitions from players, plus the real one, for a skimpy total of ten. One player sent what I think was supposed to be a definition but all I got was the deadline table; I told her but haven't heard back yet - perhaps because of time zone issues. Another tends to let the word burble around in his or her mind until the deadline is nigh, so his may yet show up.

However, in the hope that it will encourage still more to come out of the woodwork, I'm extending the definition period by four hours: until 4 pm this afternoon in U.S. EDT. You can find the new deadline in your time zone by adding four hours to the times in the table below.

Since that would still leave 41 hours (minus time to prepare the email with the list of definitions) until the previously announced voting deadline (9 am US EDT), I plan to leave it unchanged at this point.

So, those of you who haven't sent in a definition of MOSSER yet: please do!

Efrem
