11 in honor of whatever dictionary or player decided to add “strikingly” to a definition, and the other def representing a vocalization, 8.

5 & 13, being the only defs that plausibly account for the headword being plural not singular.

My apologies to the players for not checking back in a timely manner. I last
looked at Dixonary email when Dave Cunningham had just been declared the
dealer. It never occurred to me that the deal would later fall to me with my
paltry 3 points. I could insist on hand recounts and issue legal challenges
without end, but since Mike has generously stepped up, there is already no
need. My thanks to Mike for stepping up to deal.

Anyway, for the current game I'll throw votes at 5 and 13:

After much deliberation, 2 and 9 please.

          9.  [from Dutch] a short stick used for stirring clothes in a washtub.

I'll fall for the highly unlikely 2 and 4.

Mike - I’m going to go with Dutch-ish, 1 and 9

(and parenthetical kudos to #11 for ingenuity if not plausibility)
