As everyone who submitted a def has voted, I'm able to close the round early.  Three people guessed correctly that PHALERATE means "ornamented, decorated".  One of those, Nancy Shepherdson, is our new dealer with a total score of 6, including 4 votes for her metal-cladding def.   Mike Shefler and Ryan McGill share the coveted second place with 4 votes apiece.
