Just as a matter of interest, the OED has three separate definitions of TITI. As well as the South American monkey, it can mean various evergreen shrubs and trees of the Eastern US, including the buckwheat tree. More interestingly, the OED gives the third meaning as the sooty shearwater or muttonbird, which led me to circle def 10 as the real one after I'd voted.-- Tim L
