Although GRIEBEN derives from German, I found it as a legitimante English word in Merriam Webster,  Judy Madnick knew, and Efrem Mallach and Mike Shefler guessed, that it meant goose fat cracklings.  Mike's guess plus three votes for his reindeer bells makes him the next dealer.  Dan Widdis is the lucky runner up with 4 votes for his candle wax remnant.

I would have voted for #3 had I known that AmE cracklings is plurale tantum, unlike its BrE counterpart crackling which is a mass noun. But sadly I did not. I unlikely to forget that now, much good that that will do me.

Grieben also known as gribenes. are crispy cracklings made from rendered chicken or goose skin fried with onions in poultry fat, serving as a byproduct of producing schmaltz, the traditional rendered chicken fat in Jewish cooking. Before chicken fat became a no-no, I would sometimes make gribenes and...yum! I would hate to think what that would do to me now!

When I said I was DQ, I assumed that grieben and gribenes were synonymous, which I now know for sure they are. I was hoping that my fake definition of "A small, toasted barley garnish commonly added to soups for a bit of body" might be chosen along with the real definition but, unfortunately, that didn't happen.
