I knew when I received Johnny Barrs' definition, this wouldn't be a good round with the expectation that a lot of people would vote for the similar definitions (4 and 9)...even though an ingrown nail is not the same as a hang nail. So, Johnny, it serves you right: You are the next dealer with 6 points!

When I get a word that I don't know then in my head I chase the vowels and then the consonants round the alphabet - as many words have done in history - this time I ended up with unguis which I know and which is (among other things) a claw or a nail - hence (a) my definition  and (b) my vote for the real defininition
