You might have heard rumors online about yet another would-be publisher of
Divine Right. Although I have not been in contact with Glenn Rahman, creator of DR, I can share some big news.
Grant Wylie, head of WP, recently contacted me to ask whether, in light of Vox Day's fumbling of DR, Glenn would consider working with him instead. I had to give him the brush-off, as I have with several other publishers, explaining that I would not hand out Glenn's contact info but I would not contact Glenn either--we've been allowing each other respectful distance. Somehow, Grant got ahold of him anyway.
So yeah, the rumors are true: Glenn has signed with Worthington Publishing for the rights to publish DR and possibly SE.
When Grant shared the news with me, he also announced that Barry Beadman, main artist of the DRX design team, had reached an agreement with Grant and would be sharing the jewel of DRX: the original map of the TSR edition but cleaned up and updated. Grant asked whether I too would be interested in joining the team.
So I'm in--I released to Grant the rest of DRX in its entirety. I fully expect him to cut much of the 329-page DRX rulebook, but he assured me I'd be allowed to publish whatever's cut in a forthcoming edition of The Junkyard.
I can hear you screaming: WHEN?!
Well here's Grant: "We are looking to fast-track this game to publication
and would like to have it in gamers' hands by or during the summer of 2024."
Enjoy your Sunday.
