A huge thank you to Simon Gilby for his wonderful, wonder-filled sermon yesterday. Hard to find words to express the breadth and depth of his vision. His art works express how we humans are “porous”, not closed off to each other: love flows between and amongst us.  Only image I could find to express porosity was one of looking through trees or leaves.

"In the point of rest at the centre of our being we encounter a world where all things are at rest in the same way. Then a tree becomes a mystery, a cloud a revelation, each man a cosmos of whose riches we can only catch a glimpse. The life of simplicity is simple, but it opens to a book in which we never get beyond the first syllable."
Dag Hammarskjöld   Markings p.174
