How is the msid generated?

Hello, can anyone tell me how the msid is generated and where i can find it in the source code?

They are based on the MediaStream's id attribute:

  https://source.chromium.org/chromium/chromium/src/+/main:third_party/webrtc/api/media_stream_interface.h;l=327;bpv=1;bpt=1

In C++ you typically call

  https://source.chromium.org/chromium/chromium/src/+/main:third_party/webrtc/api/peer_connection_interface.h;l=1558;bpv=1;bpt=1?q=createVideoTrack&ss=chromium%2Fchromium%2Fsrc

and related methods.

They gets serialized here but the path from the MediaStream object is a bit convoluted so the codesearch ability to click on a method to find its source is quite helpful
