Hi Katsuro,

Once 2.2.0 is released, it'll emit UDP logging data in WSJT-X format. Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Hi Mooneer,

I've download a few of the recent GitHub builds (Windows) as I'm interested in the QSO logging, and am having inconsistent logging to either Log4OM & DXlab (DXview & DXkeeper).
Also I'm unsure if you are supposed to be able to log QSO by single click on a Reporter record  (as it's not mentioned in the build manual) but doing so and subsequent Log QSO button press does indeed populate the dialog popup.  I also noted the newer pre-release builds of FreeDV Reporter show the "Hdg" values misaligned with the other values in the rows .

Sorry Katsuro for hijacking your email

Hi Peter,

Can you clarify on what you mean by "inconsistent" logging? Are there fields missing in one or both of those programs, or data that's different than what you'd expect to be logged?

Also, being able to single-click in the FreeDV Reporter window and then click Log QSO is expected to prepopulate callsign/grid square if something isn't already selected in the drop-down list on the bottom of the main window. We're working through some tweaks to that behavior over at https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/pull/1184.

Re: Hdg column--it was made right-aligned recently to match with the other numeric values in the table. Unless it's misaligned some other way?

Thanks,

-Mooneer K6AQ

Hi Mooneer

The inconsistency I was observing was the difference in DXLab suite vs Log4om with Log4om receving the QSO log  but DXLab not.  this was my error in the end as I did not launch the SpotCollector module of DXLabs every time  (as I incorrectly presumes it wasn't needed as I visually was using Freedv Reporter as my "spotter") Spot collector is integral in DXlab suite for WSJT-X interfacing. So I now receive the QSO Log in both logging applications.

However in both applications I am not seeing the Signal reports or Comments conveyed from "Log QSO" .  I installed Wireshark to view the UDP packets present and they do indeed have the correct content but unfortunately neither logging app is reading it (or perhaps overriding it for some reason.  (I should mention for comparison WSJT-X is working correctly for me with the sig reports & comment if I enter it, also I see in Wireshark when using WSJT-X more UDP packets than what FreeDV gerenates when I log a QSO)

As for the FreeDV reporter misalignment is it the horizontal positioning of the Hdg values which a the problem I observed:

Hi Peter,

I'll see what I can do about the alignment issue.

Re: Log4OM--it seems that it only uses a subset of what's sent by FreeDV (and possibly even WSJT-X). From the Log4OM user manual:

I wonder if maybe it's getting the extra data from WSJT-X because the latter is (also) sending a N1MM logging message?

Thanks,
