Using FreeDV 2.2.0 on Win11 with RADEV1. Dev Team PLEASE give us back the tab 'Frequency Delta' working with RADE. In our EMCOMM group many operators are using older radios, such as IC-728 and IC-725, the frequency stability is sometimes as bad as +/- 100 Hz. I have found that 2.2.0 RADEV1 is improved to automatically correct up to 50 Hz, that is an improvement, but still not as good as VaraHF that corrects up to 100 Hz delta. If we could have the tab 'Frequency Delta' our operators could adjust the frequency on their transceivers according to the delta value. Now we have to make a Winlink VaraHF P2P connection and adjust according to the VaraHF AFC indication.

I haven't actually used this, but maybe it could help with VHF/UHF.
We have 'shifted frequencies' by up to 200 Hz (depending on the radios used), which makes it difficult to match even two stations, not to mention getting a network to work.

Hi all,

Given that RADEV1 doesn't have a built-in bandpass filter on the transmitted signal, I'm not sure it's a good idea to implement this right now, at least on the transmit side. I think this might be possible for receive, but someone will need to submit a feature request (https://freedv.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/FreeDV-027-Feature-Request-Form-V1.1.pdf via email or if you have a GitHub account, https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/issues/new?template=feature_request.yml) for it to be further considered and triaged.

Thanks,
