In our Emcomm group in Sweden one member has a curious problem. On and off his radio frequency is changing from the set value to some other frequency that is not part of the list in 'Radio Frequency.' The selected frequency is beforehand changed some Hz on the radio to compensate for frequency fault in the specific radio. He is using FreeDV 2.2.1 on a Win11 PC, the radio is an Icom  IC-728. We are normally using Options/'Enable Frequency changes only' since our frequencies are not ham-frequencies and below 10 MHz and we must use USB according to our authorities. We tried the setting 'No frequency or mode changes', but that did not help, his selected frequency still  hops away sporadically.  He is using 'Hamlib CAT Control'. Has anyone else encountered the same problem or have any idea of the cause?

Hi Torbjorn,

I'm not sure offhand what could be going on, but if possible, can that member try serial PTT or VOX instead of Hamlib to rule out any issues with the latter?

Thanks,
