I'm using FreeDV 2.3.0 with an FTdx10 - Omnirig CAT control and logging into Log4OM.

The mode logged into Log4OM is RTTY, and although I try to change the mode to FreeDV using the drop-down box in Log4OM it will not "stick" but immediately changes back to RTTY.

I think it's something to do with CAT control telling the rig to use the rear USB for audio, but why it refuses to change the mode logged is beyond me.

Interesting, FreeDV sends "DIGITALVOICE" as the mode to loggers, so I'd expect at least that to get logged. Might be worth reaching out to the author of Log4OM and see if they have any suggestions.

I can confirm that klog and qlog accept 'DIGIALVOICE' as the mode from
FreeDV so this does need a bug report to upstream LOG4OM.

If the logging program has an internal check list of accepted modes, make
sure that DIGITALVOICE is actually enabled!

Thanks both. The Log4OM forum has a note about this - there's a setting in CAT Control to set the digital mode default to FreeDV, so actually it's a CAT thing rather than FreeDV thing. Now to see what happens with WSJT-X!
