FreeDV CAT control and the 60m band

I'm using FreeDV 1.9.4 with CAT control via Omnirig. In RigControl I selected 'use USB/LSB'.

When selecting freq 3.6430 FreeDV sets the transceiver in LSB mode (=OK).

When selecting freq 14.2360 the transceiver mode is set to USB (=OK).

But when I go to the 60m band (freq 5.3665)  which is USB-only, the transceiver is set to LSB, and on the main panel mode LSB is shown in RED. Why LSB and why the red color ?

In Region 1, USB is recommended for voice operation in the 60m band. So I have to manually change the mode in the transceiver (not a big deal). 

(Moreover in Region 1 2.7 kHz bandwith is only allowed between 5354 kHZ and 5366kHz with a maximum of 5363 kHz dial frequency for USB voice mode. So 5.3665 and 5.4035 should not be used in Europa.)

I'm able to duplicate this here as well and have opened a PR (https://github.com/drowe67/freedv-gui/pull/589) to fix. Thanks for letting us know!

I am using the most recent (1.9.4) FreeDV version on a Win 10system running a Kenwood 590sg.  I cannot find the option to use OmniRig (either version) for CAT/PTT control.  What am I missing? Omnirig runs well for me with other programs,and CAT ctrol in WSJTX, etc are fine.I can NEVER get hamlib to work, though, and I get inconsistent control of FreeDV when using Flrig as the CAT/PTT control.  Any suggestions?  How can I be missing the Omnirig menu entry altogeter???

In the PTT settings, do you not see this setting for OmniRig?

 

I am using 1.9.4.

Boy, do I feel stupid.  I expected it to be in the dropdown menu where you specify Kenwood 590sg, etc.
