Hello
I have a Pi Zero 2W with 8 GB SD card and the current release Digipi image. 2.0-1
I have it connected to a AT&T home WI fi with no issues. (another post on this later)
I have a USB hub with GPS receiver, USB A to C adapter and USB C to USB C cable with ferrites.
Finally I have the USB C cable connected to a home soldered AIOC card connected to a Baofeng 82HP.
The
antenna is a mag mount about 20" away from the PI/Digirig system. Call
connections for power, USB hub, if used mini HDMI adapter are equipped
with ferrites.
Tuned to 144.390 I can see received APRS
packets on the packet display on the Digipi. So I know I am receiving
packets. That's fine.
However when using
webchat , with send position or send message I am not seeing any packets
sent from the radio. That is I see the RED (?) led on the AIOC light up
as if I am transmitting but I do NOT see any indicator on the radio
that it is being triggered to send any packets.
I have tested this with several radios :
Baofeng 5RM (BK, JP); Baofeng M5R; Baofeng UV-82HP: Baofeng BF-F8HP (JP)
Radtel RT-900 (BK)
Kenwood TH-F6 (BK);
Radioddity GD-88 (BK)
Anytone AT-878UVII + (SKS, BK, JP); Anytone AT-878UV (BK)
The pattern is the same.
Is
there a defined process from the Digipi UI that is recommended for
testing APRS packet transmission from the DigiPi to a attached radio. In
other words is there a better approach than what I am doing?
I
did verify that the AIOC card has no shorts. I will also order another
pre-made AIOC card just in case I blew it. I made 3 of them.
Thanks
